A new era in education
DCA Architects of Transformation have been continuing to design transformational buildings for schools – vital to supporting students’ evolving learning needs. Recently completed projects at the forefront of education design include, ACG Sunderland, Pukehohe High School and Hastings Boys’ High School.
At the core of each design is the integral grounding connection to the school’s unique values, history, culture and community. The resulting design outcome creates a sense of belonging and pride amongst the students and educators. It is rewarding for us to see these benefits create a positive ripple effect throughout the community.
We bring together our team of DCA leading education experts who are at the forefront of professional development and research within the education sector. Through global research, dialogue and adapting to how students learn today for the ever changing future – we add flexibility through clever and inclusive design outcomes.
Workshops and collaborative partnerships with stakeholders throughout the design process set the foundation for creating a guiding vision, goals and key principles to form a responsive building design.
Break-out areas enable flexibility and are tailored for students’ specific learning needs within class groups, joint activities and individual learning settings – allowing students to unleash their true potential. Well-connected spaces are crucial to linking key learning areas, and enhancing flow throughout spaces.
We look forward to seeing the students thrive in these special new environments.
