You’re in for a wild ride

That’s the tagline for one of Rotorua’s iconic tourism attractions, so when founder and inventor of the Zorb, Andrew Akers asked us if we could help design the new HQ, we couldn’t resist.

DCA Architects of Transformation rose to the challenge of creating a facility that matched the adventure and excitement of the ride itself. The proposed three level building will feature a Redwood shingle cladding milled from the Skyline Skyride site next door and a dramatic parametric translucent canopy. The canopy taking inspiration from the Zorb balls, floats over the outdoor viewing terraces. We are excited to see this project develop in 2025.
