No, not that kind of doctor.

Our Hawkes Bay Regional Manager, Marie Fleming, has a long-standing involvement with sustainable practices in architecture and construction:

During her study at Massey University she completed her PhD, with the thesis being that of sustainability, health and productivity in the work environment. So really, we should be calling her Dr. Fleming – but she is so modest that level of formality doesn’t match her down-to-earth and approachable personality.

Recently renewing her NZ Green Star Accredited Professional status – Marie takes the lead as DCA’s Environmental Design Manager. This entails ensuring project designs actively express the ethos of minimising carbon footprint and emissions, while understanding and appreciating clients’ desires and goals.

She is the epitome of one of our core values, that of being a Lifelong Learner. We’re excited for the added value she brings to the sustainablity aspect of all DCA projects.
