Te Arawa Fisheries Retail

The Te Arawa tribe are the indigenous custodians of the region’s foreshore. It was important for the story of Te Arawa to be woven into the retail space as a narrative of their proud history and heritage as successful harvesters of kai moana (seafood) for their families for centuries. The shark tooth motif repeats in fenestrations and acoustic paneling. Graphic retell the literal story. Pendant lights capture the imagination of fishing nets below the surface of the water.
