“Aotearoa” is the indigenous name given to New Zealand by the famous discoverer Kupe. The translation is “land of the white cloud” and was the scene that greeted Kupe as he sailed into the waters of New Zealand. As a land of abundance in exporting quality produce and goods, our clients wanted an International headquarters building to house and distribute all the goodness that NZ has to offer. A suspended structure wrapped in a cloud like woven material, is a metaphor of “Aotearoa” and will contain all that is good about NZ prior to being exported to the world.
