Say hello to Alan Footit, DCA’s newest team member. Alan brings a wealth of hard-won practical experience to his role as a Senior CAD Technician.

With 14 years of experience, Alan’s background includes over a decade in the UK working on large scale projects across relevant fields, including engineering and project management roles.
Initially working as a Surveyor’s Assistant, then Concrete Technician, then Site Engineer, Alan ultimately worked in Project Management roles, predominantly on large scale concrete-frame buildings.

That experience stood him in good stead with his return to NZ several years ago, subsequently applying his expertise and insight to his architectural career.
Alan understands how buildings go together as well as the challenges that face the teams on-site – and it is this experience that makes him such a well-rounded Senior CAD Technician.

When not working, Alan is an avid surfer, foiler, surfski paddler and mountain biker – fitting in perfectly with DCA’s vibrant culture of professionals enjoying active lifestyles outside of the workplace.
